Position Summary:
The Vice President Clinic Services (VPCS) is a member of the executive leadership team and has the overall responsibility for the business operations of the GRH Medical Clinic. The VPCS, in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) as the dyad-leader, directs the assigned departments, participates in administrative decision making, long-range planning activities, risk management, quality assurance, service excellence, and patient relations for the GRH medical clinic service-line. The VPCS plans, organizes and directs activities of the staff engaged in clinic operations, striving for operational efficiency. Analyzes and evaluates patient care services rendered in the pursuit of the overarching goal of delivering the optimal patient experience. The VPCS in collaboration with the CMO has responsibility for planning, designing and implementing systems and services while focusing on patient experience, operational efficiency, development of new services, and growth. Delegates administrative and/or supervisory responsibilities to nursing and other professional management staff as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Professional knowledge of health care through experience and education; demonstrated awareness of clinical theories, management and research, basic statistics, and healthcare legislation as normally acquired through clinic management experience and completion of a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other closely related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive healthcare leadership experience preferably within a clinic setting with a thorough understanding of clinical services functions, clinic standards and procedures, best practice, and applicable state, federal and auditing agency regulations, with the ability to effectively organize and direct unit activities.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personnel, community residents and outside agency officials when handling highly sensitive issues, gathering and exchanging information, and promoting and maintaining good public relations.
  • Advanced analytical skills necessary to develop and implement new systems, workflow processes, and technologies, and an ability to determine needs for capital equipment and personnel. Capable of improving the functioning of assigned departments, and preparing complex, special and recurring reports or analyses when indicated.
