Job Summary:

As a key leader within NorthBay Healthcare and a member of the senior executive leadership team, collaboratively leads the development of organizational strategy and future direction of NorthBay Healthcare and its subsidiaries, and develops new business opportunities for the system consistent with the corporation’s mission. Leads the initiative to develop a strategic plan and planning system which reviews and evaluates potential business development opportunities as well as on-going operational programs and services. Planning includes assessment and analysis of existing facilities and sites; forecasting of facility needs, operating re-designs, and future technologies; and the development of alternative scenarios to meet strategic goals. Develops and renovates facilities consistent with the NorthBay’s Strategic Plan.

Leadership and oversight of NorthBay Health Advantage, a subsidiary of NorthBay Healthcare that develops and provides a vehicle for innovative, non-traditional, non-acute care health solutions and services.

Builds the service area brand position, market share and financial sustainability. Drives change initiatives necessary to carry out strategies and ensure that operational decision-making at the facilities aligns with strategic objectives. Operationalizes growth and physician alignment strategies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred in a relevant discipline.

Experience:

  • Seven to ten years of directly-related strategy, strategic planning and business development experience.
  • Seven initial years in strategic planning and business development role .
  • Five most recent years with leadership responsibility in one or more types of healthcare organizations (hospital/system, physician group, ACO, health plan, or leading healthcare consulting firm.)
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare landscape and regulatory environment in California or similar heavily capitated market.
  • Experience managing construction projects preferred.
