The recently established U.S. Consumer Bank organization delivers a wide array of banking, payments, lending and investment services to individual consumers and small businesses. Our products and services cover a wide range of client banking needs including credit cards, basic banking, mortgages and investment advisory services.

The COO, U.S. Consumer Banking is currently seeking a candidate to drive Productivity & Expense Management, with a focus on ensuring appropriate resource allocation across U.S. Consumer. Reporting to the COO, the successful candidate will work in close partnership with U.S. Consumerâs senior leadership and business/functional heads to:
- Develop and manage governance and routines around productivity efforts for U.S. Consumer to ensure we are on track to deliver on committed productivity saves
- Ensure tracking and monitoring are in place for key productivity efforts; with leading indicators identified and milestones clearly outlined across each effort
- Identify productivity opportunities and help set goals for productivity efforts
- Drive and coordinates the workforce & headcount management process for the Region and be part of key talent transformation initiatives
- Create benchmark analytics on revenue, expenses & profitability to identify opportunities for optimization and perform ad-hoc financial analytics to facilitate senior management decision making
- Partner with Finance on new expense investment plans and govern spends on major approved investments in Technology & Marketing
Candidate Qualifications
- 15+ years experience in consumer banking including extensive experience in strategy development and execution
- Experience with a major consulting firm, including senior engagement management roles with client assignments of significant scope in consumer financial services
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline, a top-tier MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
- Broad knowledge of consumer financial services; demonstrates clear understanding of the drivers of performance and decision making to maximize results
- Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving and technical skills; strong attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of the drivers of value and the financial statements in consumer financial services
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage a large ecosystem of partners and stakeholders
- Strong presence, communication skills and ability to influence others and deliver clearly articulate presentations to senior leaders
- An understanding of Citi’s North America consumer businesses and preexisting senior / middle management relationships are preferred
