The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI’s focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Our guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.

Within PVSI, the Shared Services Team is involved in a wide-variety of high-priority initiatives across the company and this role will be in one of the GPMO organization, which is dedicated to project managing the high-priority initiatives around Innovation and implementing agile transformation: these PMO and transformational functions are led by senior leaders, each one of these peers being responsible for a specific LOB projects and/or agile transformation.

We are seeking a 3 Senior Scrum Masters to provide leadership and experience for Innovation initiatives, including AI and Personalization Lead the execution of the most complex AI plans, programs and initiatives which have significant Enterprise-wide impact. These initiatives may focus on: content strategy/creation, customer experience, and analytics/research or product management.

Within the framework of the above major responsibilities, the role entails the following more specific responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating business cases for specific program, projects and strategic decision options and own the business case for the PMO/Transformation team
  • Translate the organizational objectives into the annual resource plan for personnel (FTE, contractors and other leveraged resources) as well as financials
  • Translate top down directives (e.g., cost optimization initiatives) into financial objectives and forecast
  • Work with technology and other partners to align cross-organizational resource plans
  • Propose and evaluate options for funding initiatives including chargebacks and showbacks
  • Measure and report performance against the business case and annual budget on an ongoing basis
  • Track and report on an ongoing basis, staffing levels against the annual plans and the financial implications of any deviations
  • Working with finance partners, publish monthly reports on YTD actuals and forecasts for the rest of the year and use these reports to mature the financial governance across the PMO/transformation team
  • Track and validate savings from cost optimization initiatives; raise alerts and recommend actions to ensure that these efforts stay on course
  • Pro-actively appraise and recommend business strategies based upon quantitative cost and benefit analysis
  • Institute planned chargebacks on an ongoing basis and report recoveries
  • Accomplish all of the above by creating repeatable processes, automation, metrics, tools and a culture of cadenced, pro-active reporting with recommendations, call to action and follow through

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to present to multiple levels of management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Leadership skills including; coaching, training, and mentoring


Other Desired Qualifications

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience
  • Knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Promote Agile best practices and lead and support the development of Agile culture
  • Experience moving teams and organizations from Waterfall to Agile methodologies and Agile Transformations
  • Proficient in Jira and managing Jira boards.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide charts and articulate metrics in regards to Scrum performance
  • Previous Agile team coaching experience would be beneficial
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable and tailor Agile approach to the organizational culture
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • 1+ years of experience with Customer Journey development and process engineering work.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results
  • Agile Scrum (CSM), SAFE certifications or other advanced Agile certifications
  • Experience with Digital Platforms and Product or Customer interaction platforms highly desired
  • Previous experience delivering AI and personalization solutions

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
