Property Managers in the State service perform work in the management of real property to insure proper utilization financial return and/or preservation of the States interests through leases, easements, permits and/or licenses.
Property Manager II: Receives advanced training and assists in an advanced trainee capacity in activities pertaining to the management of real properties and facilities; and performs other related duties as required.
Property Manager III: Independently performs a variety of work of average scope and complexity in the management of real properties and facilities; and performs other related duties as required.
Property Manager IV: Performs the full range of work in the management of real properties and facilities, which regularly encompasses work of a complex nature; may supervise lower-level property managers; and performs other related duties as assigned.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Basic Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Specialized Experience: Six months for Level II; One and one-half years for Level III; and for Level IV, Two and one-half years of work experience in property management; viz., the efficient utilization and maintenance of real property which included such activities as the acquisition or sale of real property, property evaluation, preparation and solicitation of bids, establishment of rental rates, selection of tenants, and the protection and maintenance of property. This work experience in property management must have included experience in business, commercial, or industrial real property management.

Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required for some positions. For those positions requiring a driver’s license, you must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Federal Criminal History Records Check: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport, must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the SIDA clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found “not guilty by reason of insanity,” of a disqualifying criminal offense within 10 years from the date of the application. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding ten years. The cost for the records check will be the applicant’s responsibility.
Federal Criminal History Records Check: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the harbor must undergo a pre employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found “not guilty by reason of insanity,” of a disqualifying criminal offense within seven years from the date of appointment. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding seven years.
