The Project Manager will coordinate and support business and strategy related projects through the entire lifecycle with minimal supervision. The Project Manager will collaborate with leadership, project sponsors, internal communications and vendors as necessary to ensure that requirements are met in conjunction with well-documented requirements and objectives. Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget, and issues, risks and dependencies are effectively identified, tracked, and mitigated. This position will also lead and manage Thomson Reuters’ suites at American Airlines Center and AT&T Stadium and create a strategy to best leverage tools/resources to improve existing processes and utilization.

  • Delivers projects within the constraints of scope, time and cost to agreed levels of quality, within the organization’s project management framework
  • Defines, documents and manages projects with minimal supervision, working with multiple teams that may have differing priorities and working/cultural practices
  • Set up, coordinate and manage project resources through collaboration with project sponsors, managers and resources in order to meet project objectives
  • Develop project plans and schedules with input from project sponsors in order to properly set and manage expectations with stakeholders
  • Manage Thomson Reuters’ suite tickets using the Concierge Live ticket management platform. . Create a strategy to best leverage tools/resources to improve existing processes and utilization. Conduct ongoing analysis and identify trends that the group can incorporate
  • Manage in partnership with TR Risk Management any Dallas on-site amenities where a third part vendor is procured to provide services. Lead process review, vetting and TR liability insurance compliance.
  • Support the initiatives within the Dallas Campus, its Site Leader, its Site Committee and Events Committee including:

    • Coordination of on-site educational opportunities
    • Monitoring/responding to questions and concerns
    • Providing leadership for the Dallas Events Committee
  • Assist with planning and organizing various internal business events such as Dallas Site Committee meetings, SPARKS, leadership meetings, etc
  • Event lead for 3-4 all site employee appreciation events per year
  • Lead for managing the Dallas Events intranet page and overseeing Dallas Digest weekly site email newsletter
  • Partner with facilities team for space planning and site infrastructure projects
  • Consolidate and report out progress of major initiatives within the Dallas location
  • Partner with Community Outreach Director to manage donations to 3rd parties; provide research on requesting organizations and provide recommendations
  • Work with internal/external teams in order to gather and document requirements
  • Identify, track, and manage the mitigation of risks and issues
  • Manage project budgets by influencing decision making while tracking expenditures
  • Submit status reports and provide updates to varying levels of management
  • Partner with Communications and Public Relations on research, drafting of strategic leadership messaging
  • Effectively manage project team conflicts, build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, and commitment to make decisions
  • Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed scope and constraints
  • Prepares and maintains project plans and tracks activities against the plan
  • Implement effective communication plan and operating rhythm, including provision of regular and accurate reports
  • Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that deliverables are implemented within these criteria
  • Manage change control gaining agreement for revisions from project stakeholders
  • Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Identifies any problems with sponsorship
  • Lead special projects and/or undertake ad-hoc research on areas required by the Dallas Site and HR Lead
  • Establish and manage a business driven measurement to define success and track progress
  • Engage stakeholders and build relationships to drive initiatives that closely support business needs
  • Use metrics to assess overall success of projects. Use data to work with senior leaders to identify process, talent, and technology gaps.
  • Responsible for maintaining the projects within the allocated budget
  • Ensure coordination between co-located groups in Dallas, partnering with Dallas Site and Events Committee Members
  • Assist VP of HR and Dallas Site Leader on various projects related to the Dallas campus


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar function
  • 4+ years’ experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Successful management of multiple projects with teams based in multiple locations
  • Exceptional written communication skills and proven analytical and research skills
  • Ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrates curiosity, urgency, agility, drive, energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong customer and business acumen. Demonstrated stakeholder management skills to build credibility and confidence within the organization including the ability to equate and measure results in financially quantitative means
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills
  • Results oriented with strong time management skills, highly organized and driven to succeed.
  • Resilience, with the ability to thrive within a challenging and fast-paced business environment
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork. Flexible and prepared to handle changing project priorities and needs
  • Proven experience in project execution across businesses, geographies and disciplines in a dynamic environment with responsibility for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven presentation skills, able to adapt to meet diverse audience needs
  • Professional certification such as PMP from the Project Management Institute is desirable
