Job Responsibilities
1. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling, staffing, maintaining all equipment, on-boarding new product, quality, inventory control, and coordinating production activities with other departments. Support the development of a world class production system, with focused effort on reducing costs while improving on-time deliveries in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
2. Maintain metrics for process improvement and management reporting.
3. Improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost every period.
4. Build and maintain relationships that motivate, guide, and/or reinforce the performance of others toward goal accomplishments.
5. Analyze the organization’s employees and dominant resources to find the best way of meeting the production goals.
6. Develop self and others to improve performance in current role and to prepare for future roles
7. Develop, implement and audit work instructions.
8. Determine efficient production methods using Lean manufacturing techniques
9. Operate within prescribed budgetary boundaries and time restrictions.
10. Compile equipment operational data for optimal proactive equipment maintenance
11. Prepare reports regarding production conditions and manufacturing costs.
12. Apply appropriate cost and process benchmarks, financial analysis, and risk management techniques to solve complex issues
13. Interview and hire staff and oversee staff training.
14. Conduct performance evaluations of production employees
15. Participate in the development of specifications for tools, equipment, materials and methods.
16. Prepare and process requisitions for supplies and equipment.
17. Demonstrate and enforce company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma and at least five years of relevant experience in a lead Manufacturing role
Requires strong working knowledge within Manufacturing Methods, Materials Planning and Inventory Control functions as well as a good understanding of financial and manufacturing principles.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word for data analysis and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in a Business or Engineering curriculum
- 5 years related experience in an electronics assembly environment
- Demonstrated experience with MRP systems
- Working knowledge of latest methods of planning and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, and employees of organization.
