Bridges BTC, is located on Florida’s beautiful Space Coast, with 72 miles of accessible ocean beaches; space-age attractions; America’s most diverse estuary; and the largest sea turtle nesting area in the country. The Space Coast is home to Port Canaveral, one of the largest cruise ports in the world and the Kennedy Space Center!
Bridges BTC, is a community-based organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. Bridges BTC offers extensive opportunities including day programs, employment assistance, disabled veterans’ services, adult education, residential group homes and life skills programs for those in the community needing support.
Bridges BTC is currently seeking a dynamic President/Chief Executive Officer, who is professional, innovative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of residential facilities dedicated to our mission. Reporting to the Bridges Board of Directors, accountabilities will include leading the organization in day-to-day responsibilities, supporting fundraising efforts, working as needed with federal, state and local agencies, overseeing general accounting and budgeting, and communicating with clients, staff and communities served, as well as developing goals and objectives for the future.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be eligible for employment under State of Florida Statutes 393, 394, 397, 402, and 409. A fingerprint check, Florida Abuse Registry screening, and local, state, and federal law enforcement background checks are required to ensure eligibility.
- Must have superior knowledge in working with government agencies/programs (ex: HUD, APD, AHCA, DOL, VA, Vocational Rehabilitation, Source America, United Way, Social Security and Medicaid)
- Must comply with the agency’s drug free workplace policy.
- Must have Board level experience and a proven track record of success in working with Boards of Directors comprised of community leaders and volunteers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and six year’s professional experience in administration, planning, evaluation, analysis and/or fiscal work.
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of required experience. Professional or non-professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
