As the Manager of Special Projects/Assistant to the President of Retail you will play an important support role as the Company’s operations expands. You will report to the President of Retail and will be primarily responsible handling a variety of analytical, administrative, and project work to support day to day operations. On behalf of the President of Retail you may work closely with operations, property partners, compliance, finance and human resources on assignments designated by the President of Retail.
What You Will Do:
- Will help support various projects, provides regular updates to the President of Retail on progress or action items that need immediate attention.
- Reviews department specific reports, compiles reports and data and prepares presentations.
- May book appointments, calls, meetings, or other engagements.
- May handle expense reports.
- In the absence of the President of Retail, be a main point of contact for his department to filter request and responses.
- Will communicate with key business contacts, and customers or make phone calls on behalf of the President of Retail.
- Communicate with senior management on various items as directed by the President of Retail.
- Be a professional and polished representative of the department.
- Comfortable communicating with staff, customers and business leaders. Promotes a positive image for William Hill within the industry and community.
- Establishment of effective and professional relationships with all levels of William Hill employees and customers/vendors.
What You Will Need:
- 5+ years solid work experience working closely with executives in a project management or admin support capacity
- MBA preferred
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Operations experience in the gaming/hospitality industry is required
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, able to multi-task, is accessible during the evening or on the weekend hours for phone calls when necessary
- Must be confident in one’s ability to assess situations, take quick direction and execute solutions—you are comfortable being a “go to” team member
- The ideal candidate will have project management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively manage relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Excel skills are required
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves; ability to manage a diverse range of activities and effectively prioritize responsibilities
- Ability and availability to travel as needed
- Ability to obtain and/or be eligible for regulatory licensing, where applicable
- Enthusiastic about Sports Betting, Hospitality or Gaming
- Understand the importance of establishing and maintaining positive relationships
- Highly organized, proactive, confident in your ability get things done
- Excellent communicator
