Commercial Electrical Systems is looking for the right candidate to estimate and project manage commercial low voltage systems . The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:

  • Takeoff and interpret plans with focus to include Fire/Safety, Security, Access Control, IP and Analog CCTV, Sound, Nurse Call and Integration of these products and services.
  • Conduct site surveys and meet with current customers for system additions and owner direct opportunities.
  • Design fire alarm systems based on local and state codes.
  • Work closely with Senior Estimator to secure new construction large projects.
  • Track sales activities and look for upcoming projects on various bidding services
  • Write professional scope proposals based on estimates including repairs and small projects.
  • Attend Job meetings
  • Write RFI
  • Schedule manpower
  • Set up budgets and AIA Billing
  • Process Change Orders

Qualifications:
Required:

  • four to six years of relevant field experience within:
  • Fire/Safety/Security/IP/Nurse Call/Sound and Installation Procedures
  • Previous FASA/BASA certification
  • Working knowledge of current estimating processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of codes in NFPA 72.
  • Understanding of the Fire Alarm/ Security industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret specs and blue prints.
  • Ability to present to both internal and external groups.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office equipment to include telephone, copier, and fax.
  • Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience estimating low voltage systems based on local and state codes.
  • Some College Experience
  • Siemens, EST, Notifier or Simplex Experience
  • Previous experience using an estimating software package Mccormick

Salary: $40,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
