timely execution of R&D portfolios developing security, reliability, and trustworthiness of AF
weapon systems microelectronics.
Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:
? Prepare multi-year and long-range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers
of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance
achievement of the goals and objectives.
? Oversee the revision of long-range plans, goals and objectives for the work directed.
? Directly responsible for financial planning and execution management of funds.
? Support highly technical projects requiring extensive and specialized R&D to assess
protection provided by new security technologies (to include: microelectronics, radiofrequency, electro-optic, cryptography, and photonic devices), integrated circuits, and
embedded systems to include relevant hosted IP.
? The R&D shall include investigation of the susceptibility of microelectronic devices and
IP to advanced reverse engineering attack vectors.
? Must be able to coordinate with multiple geographically separated units to include
government agencies and industry.
? Provide assistance in the technical review process for proposals responding to BAAs
related to Trusted and Assured microelectronics.
? Expedite the distribution and review of technical proposals in accordance with published
evaluation criteria.
? Facilitate group discussions on proposal merits and coordinate the generation of
consolidated technical review used to initiate contracting actions.
? Initiate and track the additional documentation required with contracting actions.
? Maintain accounting of contract awards, technical effort, and financials. Document BAA
status for internal and external customers.
? Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
Experience:
? Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience.
? Four or more years of relevant government and/or industry experience, in project and
financial management, required.
? Between five and eight, or more, years of relevant government and/or industry experience
in hardware security design/assessment required.
Education:
? BA/BS or MA/BS degree.
? Six (6) years of experience can be substituted for BA/BS degree.
Other Required Skills & Abilities:
? Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required.
? Technical background in microeclectronics required.
? Familiarity with Air Force contacting procedures/processes, and a working knowledge of
the FAR desired.
? Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and
responsibilities as listed in the contract.
? Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word,
PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Security Clearance: Secret or current DCID 6/4 (TS) adjudicated clearance that is within 6-month
scope at time of hiring.
