Technical Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience performing system configuration and administrative tasks in multi-OS environments including the Microsoft server family (Server, Exchange, Terminal Services).
- 2+ years of work experience in desktop operating systems, including Windows 7, 8 and 10.
- Able to navigate in VMWare, physical and virtualized systems.
- Proficient in Windows server administration.
- Provide detailed documentation with Visio, Word, ticketing systems and Excel.
- Experience in IT Security is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to clients in Middle Tennessee.
Technical Preferences
- Understanding and experience maintaining virtual and/or cloud-based computing environments including hosted email/spam products, servers, desktops, laptops and some business applications.
- Any experience in IT Security is a plus.
- Experience with managed services systems such as Autotask, Kaseya, LabTech, etc.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and practical application in hosting and networking environments.
- Prefer Understanding of firewalls, switches, replication technology, cloud IT operations, security strategies and best practices.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

IT Systems Support Engineer Components
Tier 1-2 Systems Engineer
- Triage Help Desk tickets with team, troubleshoot through root cause resolution following best practices, procedures and protocols.
- Build customer relationships and engender trust for the team and company.
- Complete documentation of systems, access and anything required for support.
- Onboard customers (leveraging technology) after completing initial discoveries.
IT Maintenance
- Maintenance for systems including patching, roll-ups, security updates, firmware upgrades, version upgrades, equipment room clean-ups for wiring etc.
- Hardware and software auditing and inventory (leverage automation).
- Leverage automation software to allow team to work smarter to provide value to clients and company.
- Onboarding customer’s environment into bok systems.
- Keep clients informed of impending changes, outages, upgrades and any other pertinent information.
Planning/Strategy/Proactive
- Help develop technical solutions to business problems.
- Anticipate technical issues and implement proactive strategies.
- Assist team in establishing and implementing best practices, policies, procedures and protocols to drive excellence in the team and company.
- Educate in the latest technologies, make recommendations for new solutions as technology changes.
- Consultatively provide guidance for customers and team for best practice, security and other technology to solve business challenges.
Additional Functions
- Assist project managers with vendor management and vetting products for technology stacks.
- Help develop/refine processes, standards and workflows to better our service.
- Record time and notes daily in time accounting system by 9 am the following day.
- Participate in designing new levels of service.
Job Type: Full-time
Experience:
