Role Summary:
The Head of Talent Acquisition – GE Corporate will report to the Chief Talent Officer and will be responsible for building best in class competency in the areas of Corporate Executive Search & Corporate Talent Acquisition Operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will:
- Lead a portfolio of critical n-1 and n-2 corporate senior executive search and succession projects
- Establish & lead a Corporate Executive Search Council to promote collaboration across GE businesses
- Develop and promote the competency of executive search at GE, including driving standardization of delivery processes and key performance indicators
- Lead broad executive talent initiatives spanning all GE businesses
- Own knowledge management and database technology across businesses
- Develop make / buy strategy for in house vs search firm deployment
- Lead global talent acquisition and delivery operations for central organizations and businesses including Global Growth Organization, GE Capital, Global Ops, GE Corporate
- Provide leadership and support to the GE Corporate talent acquisition team responsible for all levels of recruitment from University Relations to Executive hiring for the GE “center” or “horizontal” organizations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 15 years global talent acquisition experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in retained executive search environment
Desired Characteristics:
- MBA or Master’s degree
- Strong knowledge of candidate attraction, selection and assessment tools and methodology
- Knowledge of market trends and best practices
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills; ability to conceptualize, structure, and present compelling stories to a wide range of audiences
- Strategic & system thinker – able to quickly process complex information, identify interdependencies, assess trades, and make challenging decisions
- Excellent business and financial acumen
- Proven global leadership skills – demonstrated ability to establish a clear vision, break down barriers, and empower teams across multiple regions
- Strong mix of operational rigor and strategic mindset
- Expects excellent results, enables and inspires others, and holds teams accountable
