Responsibilities:
The Head of Nursing is responsible for leading the skilled nursing team to ensure high standards of quality and delivering excellent care to patients. You will ensure that each nurse on staff is properly certified and abides by the standards for care established by our organization and state and federal laws. The Head of Nursing is responsible for creating new policies and updating existing policies to help improve the level of care for each patient. Implement quality improvement programs designed to help us deliver the highest possible level of service. Ensure that all patient care plans have the documentation necessary to provide the proper type of care. The Head of Nursing maintains relationships with healthcare providers and hospitals in the local community. The Head of Nursing will be supported by corporate operations teams, human resources, and recruiting to establish us as a premier employer and provider of healthcare services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s (Preferred)
- Nebraska RN (Required)
- 2+ years of Head of Nursing experience (Preferred)
- 3+ years of Registered Nurse experience (Preferred)
- Experience with PointClickCare (Preferred)
- Proven results working in a management role in a healthcare facility, strong historical survey results
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance
- Strong recruiting and team building skills
- Excellent resource management
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
