Overview & Principle responsibilities:

In this critical position, the successful candidate will provide general administrative leadership support as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO.

This position provides all management and administration of the President’s office, representing the President with General Board Members, Overseers, corporate and community leadership, partners, real estate management, and staff, and all association office staff.

Managing the president’s office, managing the President’s schedule, meetings, and events; arranging meetings of the General Board of Directors and Board Committees, and compiling minutes of the meeting; completing research projects, special reports and assignments and composing correspondence (i.e. Constant Contact President’s Newsletter); communicating with staff, volunteers, community and corporate leaders; completing clerical responsibilities such as telephone, correspondence, filing, processing financial payments, and making travel arrangements. Scheduling individual and group cultivation events and meetings; managing communication through telephone, e-mail and face-to face meetings. Collaborate as needed with all association office departments, including Development, Operations, External Affairs, Finance and IS, Property Management, Human Resources, and Program Development.

Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

  • Strong influencing skills with Association Office Senior Leadership, Branch Executive Directors and other senior leaders.
  • Comfortable being the ‘go-to’ point person for association special events.
  • Proficient in the use of association technology, excellent interpersonal relationships, and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience working with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Takes the initiative to perform essential functions without waiting for directions.
  • Ability to be sensitive to deadlines and to follow through to completion on a task.
  • Work with all other Association Office departments as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an executive level administrator;
  • Non Profit experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field;
  • Superior computer skills including MS Office and related proprietary software.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50.00 to $75.00 /year

Experience:

Required travel:
