Job Description

We are seeking driven, outcome-oriented Engagement Managers to join our Advisory Services team. Engagement Managers are responsible for delivering solutions to the data challenges presented by the most senior leaders of the U.S. national security enterprise. They are creative, entrepreneurial, and can see the big picture. Responsible for leading teams, they also roll up their sleeves and will wear many hats to lead the team to success. Engagement Managers are responsible for planning and managing projects and putting Govini data and software in the hands of government users. They are are passionate about our users’ success and ensure excellence in delivery, ranging from answering tough analytic challenges to collaborating with Govini’s Product team to send market demand and user needs into Govini’s offerings.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Lead complex analytic, data, and software projects

  • Own senior-level client relationships

  • Translate client and prospect business challenges into software use cases

  • Oversee project execution of quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure delivery exceeds client expectations, while balancing business resources

  • Identify and scope potential expansion opportunities within existing accounts

  • Elicit user requirements through discovery process to drive the evolution of the Govini platform

  • Prepare business proposals and presentations to support sales pursuits

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in key knowledge areas, such as national security strategy, federal budgeting and procurement processes, and government contracting

  • Support cross-office initiatives in sales and client success as a Govini product expert

  • Present findings in concise and compelling manner to executives

  • Regularly assess individual and team performance to reduce cognitive biases and refine products and internal processes

Qualifications

You regularly assess individual and team performance to reduce cognitive biases and refine products and internal processes.

Required Skills

  • MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution

  • 7-10 years of experience in engagement and project management, preferably within the technology industry

  • Experience within software product life-cycle and implementations

  • Familiarity with data science and the use of big datasets for quantitative analysis

  • Strong business acumen, excellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone without hesitation

  • Referenceable history of exceptional performance in client management, project management, or as an account executive

  • Detail-oriented with outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects from start to finish, to learn quickly, and to work independently with little supervision

Desired Skills

  • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one

  • Experience with the nuances of a startup environment
