Position Summary

The District Director acts as a leader, coach and supervisor managing the talent, brand and operations of a district. This includes leading a team of Program Directors to deliver on our brand promise. This top leadership position drives quality and consistency of the program experience across the District to maximize the quality, capacity and financial success of the District. This role also develops talent and inspires a culture of learning that is focused on upholding our values, creating an exceptional parent/child/teacher experience, fostering accountability and providing recognition in order to achieve and exceed business performance goals.

Essential Functions

Talent

  • Provides timely, consistent and ongoing feedback through biweekly visits, quarterly competency assessments, email/phone communication, individualized growth plans and annual reviews
  • Works closely with management teams and recruiter to ensure timely and appropriate communication of talent needs
  • Maximizes the success of all HotSpots programs through coaching and development of management
  • Works closely with the Executive Director to create a high performance organization that reflects the culture in its hiring
  • Pursues growth opportunities for management members through ongoing and effective career development opportunities inside and outside of the organization
  • Articulates clear standards and expectations, asks questions and actively Gives timely and effective feedback
  • Inspires a shared vision by setting clear goals and fostering a positive and rewarding environment

Brand

  • Facilitates the execution of developmentally appropriate School Age Education
  • Builds an environment that is focused on consistently delivering an exceptional Parent / Child experience
  • Empowers team members to work within clear boundaries and confronts outlier behavior with feedback and consequences
  • Ensures exceptional customer service experiences through immediate and thorough responses to parent concerns
  • Uses company education tools and personal leadership to maintain a clear focus on Parent/Child experience
  • Ensures that the District represents and reinforces the brand in a positive manner through visual presentation

Operations

  • Consistently monitors District and program level performance for trends, outliers, and best practices
  • Identifies the need for and ensures consistent utilization of tools, resources, and processes to manage operations and optimize productivity
  • Effectively communicates company goals and objectives, organizational changes in focus, systems and processes to the district
  • Analyzes the business and gives timely feedback on action plans to optimize results.
  • Utilizes effective communication techniques and employs varying learning styles to connect with team members
  • Coaches managers to maintain a focus on customer acquisition and retention, using the established processes, tools, and resources provided
  • Knows the market surrounding each location and works with management to create an effective marketing strategy to maximize competitive advantage within the market
  • Ensures district-wide compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, and guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Coach and train management to effectively manage profit and expenses including
  • Through program visits and field communication recommends impactful solutions to the Executive Director
  • Integrates observations from program visits and weekly results in order to coach managers on effective smart action plans

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OCC staffing and licensing
  • A thorough understanding of the behavioral and developmental stages of children highly recommended
  • Strong verbal, written, computer and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites required
  • Availability to work periodic weekends and evenings

Education/Experience:

  • Two year degree in Education or Four Year Degree in any
  • Minimum of five years of management experience; preferably multi-site management experience.
  • Certification in CPR and First
  • Computer skills, preferably Microsoft

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
