A startup, Mind AI (http://www.mind.ai) is working on a brand new paradigm in artificial intelligence. We are looking to innovate real AI. Not just natural language processing but Natural Language Reasoning. We need a versatile talent who is interested in changing the world. This is not deep learning but something totally new. And we need people with open and creative minds.
Artificial intelligence in a brand-new paradigm. NOT deep learning/neural networks, but knowledge of same a plus. Symbolic/logical AI experience will be practiced. Developing core logic based on a new theory of information. Duties will include establishing company technology vision, strategies, and plans plus developing new features of the AI. We require significant experience in development activities on large projects and advanced software architecture and deployment in a large project.
Specifically, the CTO will be:
- Setting company technical vision and leading the company’s technological development
- Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
- Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as advisor of all technologies involved with company
- Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
- Establishing software development process and set objectives for process
- Mentoring team members
- Reviewing timeframes and budgets
- Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
- Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
- Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
- Representing company at conferences and networking events
- Ensuring company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10+ years programming experience: Lisp, Java, C/C++, .Net, C#, SQL, etc.
- 5+ years’ experience in Lisp programming
- 3+ years’ experience in artificial intelligence technologies
- Thorough understanding of Lisp paradigms (e.g. functional & object oriented)
- Thorough understanding of blockchain technologies
- Familiarity with common software architectures, design patterns, and software development life cycles
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, brand leaders, and other senior management throughout the company
- Able to be a “big picture” thinker
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
- Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
- Able to align multiple strategies and ideas
- In-depth understanding of the industry
- Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
- Excellent analytical and time-management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with GOFAI.
- Familiarity with formal logic.
- 3+ years’ experience in blockchain
- Experience in using grammars to interpret novel structures
- Experience with statistical language modeling
- Familiarity with the 3 types of logical reasoning (Deductive, Inductive & Abductive)
Condition for employment
- To start work remotely but willing to relocate to Seoul (we will sponsor the working visa)
- While working remotely willing to travel to Seoul every two months for 4 ~ 6 weeks, or perhaps somewhat longer
- We will provide a relocation package when relocating to Seoul
