We are a New York based start-up founded in late 2018 by two dog lovers and pet industry veterans with strong financial backing from pet loving angel investors. Wolf Spring will launch early 2020, following a comprehensive product development phase.

Role:

As COO, you will build our operations, from the ingredients supply chain to the product delivery logistics, in order to get Wolf Spring ready for the launch in late Q1 2020. You will assist us in selecting the best partner among a short list of co-packers and drive the entire production process. You will also be in charge of setting up our logistics chain. The position will start as part-time with the prospect to evolve to full-time once the product is launched and requires heavier focus. You will ensure that the people, processes and technology are in place to scale and thrive.

Your experience with other fast growing Beverage or Pet Food companies will inform how you build efficient and effective systems and set us up to scale fast. You will also drive day-to-day operations and be integral in budgeting, forecasting and planning.

The ideal candidate must be a great collaborator and be comfortable operating in an early-stage fast-paced start-up environment.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in the (human) beverage or pet food industry

• Ability to drive strategy:

• Set out strategy to support the product launch roadmap and drive operational excellence

• Communicate with the Founders, Advisors, and other stakeholders regarding business progress and planning
• Capacity to build a strong operational foundation:

• Create, develop, scale and monitor our supply chain and logistics

• Oversee and drive the quality, efficiency and timeliness of our operations

• Identify, monitor and manage to KPIs

• Own operational budget forecasting and reconciliation

• Oversee and, as necessary, contribute on day-to-day activities for all operational initiatives
• Not afraid to roll your sleeves and get your hands dirty

• An entrepreneurial drive, passionate about the quality of your work

• Experience in a fast-paced environment; start-up is a plus
