The COO will actively participant in strategic planning and corresponding development activities including but not limited to: budgeting, community outreach, human resource management, patient services, payer contracting, medical/psychiatric resources, regulatory preparedness and quality improvement. The COO characteristically works in a collaborative and partnership framework (internal/external) to realize the organization’s mission to quality behavioral healthcare while achieving operational performance targets. Management skills are advanced with emphasis on planning, organizing, prioritizing, delegating and supervising to desired deliverables. This position exercises prudent decision making, initiative, judgment, problem solving and self-regulation within a multitude of situations. The COO undertakes special projects at the request of the CEO, and may be reallocated to specific needs within Strategic Behavioral Health with overnight travel. The COO may assume full operational oversight of the facility.
Education / Licensure:
Candidate will possess an accredited bachelor’s degree with a business or clinical emphasis along with eight to ten years of progressively responsible behavioral health experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree with multi-functional area experience i.e., clinical, business development and financial.
Experience:
The compliment of experience will correspond to the assigned facility needs. Generally, candidates will demonstrate a solid track record in multi-department leadership with sustainable tenure. Typically, employment offer is made with a formal development plan to result in future assignment preparation and flexibility.
