Position Summary
The construction manager will oversee residential renovation projects in California from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Budgeting, organizing, implementation and scheduling of projects
- Schedule logistical steps and timelines to bring projects to completion on time
- Oversee on/offsite to monitor compliance with building code, safety regulations, and permit compliance
- Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports pertaining to job status
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- General project management skills: the ability to show leadership, accountability, communicate, solve problems, create and maintain reports, and multitask
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- +2 Years Industry Experience
- Residential Reconstruction a PLUS
- Must be an analytical problem solver
- Able to work independently while being responsive to both internal and external customers in the organization.
- Must be willing to travel and respond to emergency demands
