Position Summary

The construction manager will oversee residential renovation projects in California from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Budgeting, organizing, implementation and scheduling of projects
  • Schedule logistical steps and timelines to bring projects to completion on time
  • Oversee on/offsite to monitor compliance with building code, safety regulations, and permit compliance
  • Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, etc. and give them guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports pertaining to job status
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

  • General project management skills: the ability to show leadership, accountability, communicate, solve problems, create and maintain reports, and multitask
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • +2 Years Industry Experience
  • Residential Reconstruction a PLUS
  • Must be an analytical problem solver
  • Able to work independently while being responsive to both internal and external customers in the organization.
  • Must be willing to travel and respond to emergency demands
