LionTamers is currently seeking a Co-Founder/COO to help us stamp out the lionfish invasion while feeding hungry mouths around the world. We are seeking someone with a passion for the environment and for crafting a high quality work environment.

LionTamers will be transitioning to a B Corp soon, so experience with that type of business is helpful, but not required.

The Invasive Lionfish

The invasion began in the 1980s when approximately 8 individual lionfish were released into the Western Atlantic Ocean on the coast of Miami. With no natural predators in this part of the world, the lionfish was able to spread throughout the entire Gulf of Mexico, as far north along the Western Atlantic as Rhode Island and as far south as Argentina. As the species spreads, it consumes everything in its path that will fit in its mouth, decimating nurseries and coral ecosystems.

There is a saving grace to this emergency. The lionfish tastes great and is healthier than traditional table fish.

The Company and Position

LionTamers Fishing is a new startup that will be utilizing innovative new technologies to harvest the invasive lionfish at numbers not previously attainable.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a startup that is pre-funding. Initial compensation will be in the form of equity shares in the company. We understand that this situation may not be the best for everyone and hope that you will decide accordingly.
