Our cannabis organization is looking for a Chief Operating Officer, capable of taking us to the next level. We’relooking to make the leap to working as a national brand, and we hope you’re theone to help us accomplish this. You will work alongside the CEO to execute thecompany vision, put procedures and resources in place to promote scaling,optimize inefficient areas in the organization and coordinate with departmentheads. Our ideal COO has at least 15 years of experience working with Consumer Packaged Goods organizations at all levels. You should have a strong understandingof the operational requirements and insights into how you can make thingsbetter.
The COO (Chief Operating Officer) will have a pivotal rolewithin our company’s operations. They will handle the day-to-day operations andadministration of a business. They will report directly to the CEO whilecollaborating on tasks like three, five, and ten-year plans and working withthe CFO on financial projections. From a broader perspective, the COO’s goal isto provide leadership and ensure that the company is maintaining its goals fromboth operational and cultural points of view.
Responsibilities
- Overseethe operations of the organization to meet business goals and projections
- Collaborateclosely with the chief executive officer and produce reports on companyoperations
- Empowerthe operational team with the leadership and resources they need tosuccessfully complete operations initiatives
- Positivelyrepresent the company at all times through a success-oriented and professionaldemeanor
- Partnerwith other C-level executives to accomplish short and long-term operationalgoals
- Measureand report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant keyperformance indicators
Qualifications and Skills
- Mastersin Business Administration, Law, Management or related areas is preferred
- 7- 10years of industry (CPG) experience managing a complex enterprise’s humanresources, finances, operations, and strategies at all levels of theorganization
- Stronganalytical and data-driven mindset that translates into leadership skills withsteadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Abilityto inspire employees to live up to their potential and optimize theirproductivity
- Abilityto communicate the vision to the board of directors, other C-level officers andcompany employees
