Valley View Health Center is a non-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) committed to providing quality integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to families and individuals of all ages, regardless of the ability to pay. We currently have 13 locations, serving patients in three counties (Lewis County, Pacific County and Thurston County, WA). Valley View Health Center is one of the fastest growing Community Health Centers located in the southwest corner of Washington State. Chehalis, where the VVHC headquarters is located, is in the heart of Lewis County.
We are seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) who will provide day-to-day management and oversight of the organization’s healthcare operations. The COO will fill the lead role in building, implementing, and integrating all of the organization’s systems to ensure effective services planned and provided to the community. The COO is responsible for the operational development and integration of the full spectrum healthcare services and will be responsible for promoting effective internal communications. The position has direct supervision over clinical operation managers and promotes the dyad leadership model with providers, working to remove barriers to quality care including production, core clinical measurements, financial performance, patient satisfaction, and staff satisfaction. In the absence of the CEO, this position assumes all fiduciary leadership responsibilities normally entrusted to the CEO.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior/director level manager, familiar with community health centers, medical/dental clinics or practices or other healthcare settings with budgetary experience. Current knowledge of HIPAA privacy/security expected. Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration or related field required and at least ten (10) years progressively responsible, relevant senior management experience. Group Practice, Rural Health, and Community Health or other Federally Qualified Health Center experience preferred.
