    Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

    ComGraphics, Inc. (CGI), an ESOP, is a leading Chicago based provider of transactional print and mail services, data and print management, and document production, is currently seeking a COO reporting to the CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and work with the CEO, CFO and board of directors on goals, strategies, daily operations, and service performance.

    Objectives of this Role

    • Maintain CGI’s core philosophies regarding superior customer service and forming longstanding client relationships.
    • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
    • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
    • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
    • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary
    • Develop CGI’s employee base, working with other members of executive management to motivate top performance, and better establish and promote a true ownership culture.
    • Direct processes and standards related to the development/composition, digital printing and automated distribution of critical transactional documents/invoices/letters within the financial industry as well as other key industries, including but not limited to healthcare, banking, insurance and utilities.
    • Direct Information Technology strategy including but not limited to the hardware and software for the security, processing and storage of confidential client data, including the secure web–based hosting and delivery of critical transactional documents.
    • Develop and direct sales team to grow CGI beyond current capacity.
    • Grow company’s position within industries we serve by evaluating competitive, economic and regulatory environments.
    • Knowledge of the financial industry and having the ability to capitalize on current client/industry relationships.
    • Ability to assess, and mitigate the company’s key risks including but not limited to Information Security and Market Competition.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    • Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
    • Develop actionable strategies and plans ensuring alignment with short and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO
    • Directly oversee current operations management staff, and work with CEO and CFO on sales management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets over the near term
    • Aggressively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure achievement of targets relative to growth and profitability
    • Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures, and prepare reports, both current and forecasting
    • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field
    • 5+ years’ experience in executive leadership positions
    • Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
    • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
    • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
    • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in business or related field
