Job Description
We are a southern California boutique private equity firm. We recently established a fund to achieve above market returns from the acquisition, optimization, and subsequent sale of small, local businesses. We source businesses in the $1M-$2M EBITDA range with the sole purpose of installing proven systems, building a more sustainable and consistent revenue model, and ultimately exiting the business at a sizeable premium, within a five-year period. Our Managing Partners have participated in and invested in numerous companies over the years and are highly skilled in business optimization.
We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer / COO to oversee the most recent acquisitionâs ongoing operations and procedures. This is a unique opportunity to get access to the private equity model, maintain control of diverse business operations, and share in the significant upside potential of the exit/sale of the business. Upon exit there will be further opportunities to pursue a similar role with future acquisitions or potentially transition into the CEO position of the current acquisition. The COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the CEO/Managing Partner.
If you consider yourself to be an experienced and efficient leader, have excellent people skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics, weâd like to meet you. We are currently interviewing for the position with the expectation of hiring in the near future.
Role: People
The primary focus of the COO is to establish strong sourcing, development, and retention practices with the staff. With the acquisition, the company is shifting from a Lifestyle business, to a Growth business. There is a great need for navigating the maturation of the culture and employees. Managers need education, accountability, and leadership development. The operations staff needs guidance and direction with the overall transition. As sales wins new revenue opportunities, managing the operational relationships & needs of the sales team is imperative.
