The O.K. Cooperative Grain and Mercantile Company, located in rural Southcentral Kansas about an hour and a half southwest of Wichita, is searching for CEO/General Manager. Candidates considered for this position must be excellent at building successful relationships with employees, board members and patrons. Additionally, they must be patron-focused and be willing to create an environment of outstanding customer service with fair and equitable treatment of all. Experience wise, they must have at least three years of department of senior leader experience within an agribusiness, preferably from a Cooperative. Experience and understanding of grain operations and handling, agronomy services, and retail service stations will be essential to their success. The Cooperative is a member of Comark Equity Alliance. Candidates must also have a thorough understanding of managing the behind-the-scenes of a business including all financial aspects.

Additional Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 3 years’ experience working as a Location Manager, Department Manager and/or General Manager preferred;
- A background and passion for agriculture;
- Must have demonstrated the highest levels of personal and business integrity and value fair and honest business practices;
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team of employees;
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
- A strong commitment to the Cooperative business principals;
- It is preferred that candidates reside and/or relocate to Cooperative’s trade territory.

Organized in June of 1917 by a small group of farmer/ranchers, the O.K. Cooperative Grain & Mercantile Company saw a vision of producers banding together to bring added value to their labors. Expanding its operations, the O.K. Cooperative built a concrete grain elevator. Today, the O.K. Cooperative consists of 755 members and serves Barber, Harper and Comanche counties in Kansas plus parts of Woods and Alfalfa counties in Oklahoma. A seven-member board oversees the O.K. Cooperative consisting of 20-22 full-time employees. The O.K. Cooperative extends to four locations in Kiowa, Hazelton, Hardtner, and Corwin, Kansas.
