The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) is a unique organization that creates vibrant connections with our partners in the public and private sectors to build a prosperous and sustainable future in Somerset County. We are a Chamber of Commerce with a 100-year history that serves more than 810 member companies that employ over 70,000 people in Somerset and the surrounding counties. The SCBP is widely recognized as one of the leading chamber organizations in New Jersey. In addition, we partner with the Somerset County Freeholders to provide economic development to the business community and serve as the Destination Marketing Organization responsible for promoting Somerset County and providing tourism services.

The SCBP hosts more than 125 events annually including several signature events that draw high interest and attendance.
The CEO reports to a prominent Board of Directors, leads a staff of six full-time employees and manages a budget of $1.2 million. The CEO works closely with the Board, the membership, staff and numerous public and private business partners to:
- Anticipate the needs of the business community and provide critical resources.
- Advocate for a reform agenda that supports the objectives of our Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
- Promote job creation and private sector investment.
- Promote Somerset County as a special place to live, work, play, and visit, learn and find talent.
- Expand our organizational capacity to better achieve our mission.
The CEO acts as the spokesperson for the SCBP and serves on local Boards including the Workforce Development Board, Healthier Somerset, RideWise and Opportunity NJ.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 yearsâ experience in a leadership role, excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior presentation and negotiation skills, proven success in fundraising, and a track record of solid business results. Prior experience in a Chamber of Commerce or political organization is a plus.
