Line of Business Role Description
Global Banking and Markets Operations (GBAMO) Chief Operating Office (COO), Controls and Transformation Business Support Manager will be accountable for multiple functional coverage areas mentioned above and provide general business support to the broader organization as needs arise. This role is part of the GBAMO organization, comprised of about 13,000 employees located in 28 countries. GBAMO delivers end-to-end services and operations solutions and support to corporate, commercial and institutional clients. This team delivers end-to-end support for Global Markets Sales, Trading and Underwriting businesses, and select Shared Services across Securities, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Futures, Options and Commodities products. Regional Technology and Operations delivers technology and operations to all lines of business in APAC, EMEA and LATAM, providing an integrated and transparent experience for our clients.
Responsible for all aspects of COO function for GBAMO Transformation and Change (Initiatives) business, including:
- Maintains ownership of initiative budget, forecast and allocation across all programs managed
- Responsible for acting as the liaison between Line of Business, Technology and support partners to ensure transparent management of all initiative funds
- Manages monthly Initiative recovery process, including average resource costing management
- Tracks changes and variances to budget and headcount while creating executive level highlights of trends through root cause analysis and reporting
- Partner with Recruiting & HR, maintain and update open headcount and resignation reports, requisition forms, coordinate opens approvals process, etc.
- Maintenance of adequate staffing levels across all programs and projects in accordance with budget
- Accountable for Contractor and Consultant financial approvals as well as negotiation of contract release dates between the business and change team
- Responsible for Compliance and Internal Audit Reporting, Policy Routines & Attestation, Space Management and planning
- Develop and maintain reporting metrics and executive presentations to ensure that Initiatives resources and financials are managed proactively and with visibility of senior leadership

- Experience managing technology or operations initiatives.
- Create executive level presentations and reports using analytical skills to review data, look for trends, and create thematic assessments
- Drive communications intended for multiple organizational levels
- Ability to effectively communicate, create followership and reinforce why operational excellence is essential for growth.
- Stays current on industry leaders, strategic transactions, and external shifts in the market
- Ability to lead across large, diverse and global lines of business and time zones to execute effectively.
- Strong business acumen and problem solving skills; ability to analyze problems, recommend options, and execute solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in an ambiguous environment or an environment where priorities may change quickly
- Prior working experience in Operations, Finance, Technology or Risk
- Proficient in MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
