MBAM COO -Business Support Manager

MBAM COO is seeking a driven, self-motivated individual to provide support for the Municipal Banking & Markets (“MBAM”) business. The ideal candidate for this role should be able to operate in a fast-paced work environment and with the ability to multitask. Attention to details and accuracy are essential in order to be successful in this position. The candidate will also be able to build relationships and have the ability to work collaboratively across the organization, including with senior leaders in MBAM and the COO organization.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with the front office (incl. senior management) to support the MBAM business on a day to day basis
  • Become the central point of contact for all support partners in the MBAM ecosystem
  • Represent the senior COO in various forums and meetings
  • Become a trusted advisor to municipal sales, trading, public finance, public sector banking and senior management
  • Lead new product development from end to end
  • Manage our inter-affiliate framework, set limits with senior management and monitor utilization
  • Help review and manage expenses for MBAM
  • Act as a key business partner for MBAM Tech and help prioritize development on behalf of the business
  • Develop and automate reports and management tools required by senior management
  • Help prepare MBAM response to any Regulatory, Audit requests
  • Assist with preparing presentations and other reporting required by senior management (internal or external)


Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree with 5+ years of industry or COO experience
  • A good understanding of the FICC organization and its infrastructure (systems, workflows, etc.) would be a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • Must be proactive and demonstrate ownership and initiative taking
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate good organizational and time management capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work effectively and under pressure and time constraints
  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issues
  • Ability to work independently, set and manage plans, achieve results
  • Advanced proficiency in various MS tools including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
