JOB SUMMARY
Support the full project lifecycle from initiation until closing, to include the management of projects to improve project planning and coordination. Provide overall coordination for project work, integrate efforts of various project teams, ensure efficient resource utilization and follow standards and methods for project management.
Attend project meetings, and assist with the determination of project requirements and in the development of project plans and schedules. Utilize project administration tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
Assist in the development of procedures, processes and milestones while working with management staff to resource projects accordingly. Support day-to-day project activities required to deliver a quality solution on time, and identify, assess and facilitate resolution to business and technical problems, issues and risks.
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project team as well as any third party service providers or vendors that play an integral role in the project delivery. Ensure effective communication between all members of the project team by ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection and dissemination of project information.
Ensure an acceptable level of quality of all deliverables before proceeding to the next phase, and provide post-close analysis of what can be improved in the process for the future.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates experience participating in productive collaborative processes. Identifies process management initiatives in own area. Describes goals, objectives, and responsibilities of staff members in problem management. Describes major budget items in own organization in general terms. Assists the project manager in designing IT project architecture during the project planning phase. Indicates commonly used IT project standards and protocols. Identifies the need for regular progress reports from all IT project team members. Assists senior colleagues in analyzing client requirement for IT projects. Identifies IT roles and responsibilities for regular and rotating team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience, preferably in stewardship projects or programs and project management experience across the full project lifecycle required.
Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM), Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent advanced training in project management preferred.
