Job Summary

Serve as Assistant Director of Financial Affairs for Engagement and Vice President for Ethics and Compliance. Direct the management of financial operations and business support of the programs and initiatives associated with these departments. Provide primary responsibility for financial analysis and management of budget for these areas. Responsible for management and reporting requirements of departmental budgets. Assist in supporting analytical and reporting needs for recurring and ad hoc requests related to strategic initiatives and new projects. Supervise business office support staff for the business office. Provide training and orientation to business staff. Fill in during extended leave or vacancies and serve as the backup to the Director of Financial Affairs (DFA) in his/her absence.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Six or more years of experience in business administration, financial management or related
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and implement University policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning, leadership, budgeting, financial analysis, problem-solving, organization, project management and customer service
  • Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
  • Possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting business process
  • Personal computer and related software skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Previous leadership experience
  • University business manager experience
