Exciting opportunity to become a member of the Developmental Disabilities team for Virginia Medicaid. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the DMAS Developmental Disabilities Division and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services with activities required to ensure full compliance with the CMS mandated Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) setting rule. The candidate of choice will serve as the lead staff managing HCBS on-site review logistics, coordinate cross agency communications, plan and conduct compliance reviews and monitor required corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires the ability to interpret HCBS settings regulations and apply HCBS setting rule criteria to settings during on-site reviews when making compliance determinations and remediation/correction action needs. Skill in and ability to plan and execute all processes associated with compliance reviews of HCBS settings. Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills as well as an ability to travel within assigned region to complete onsite reviews. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently on multiple complex reports and projects simultaneously. A valid driver’s license is required for frequent travel within the designated region.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) setting rule, person centered planning practices and principles and the Development Disability Waivers services and support is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in public administration or human services or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. We are a ?Virginia Values Veterans??
