JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reports to: Board President

The Piqua Community Foundation (“PCF”) was established in November 1993 and is a 501(c)(3) public charity serving residents of Piqua, Ohio and the surrounding area. Our mission is:
“To encourage charitable giving that benefits residents of Piqua, and to provide a variety of methods to help people reach their charitable giving goals.”

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PCF seeks an Executive Director to serve as the face of The Foundation in our community and to ensure that the directives of the Board of Directors are accomplished. The Executive Director is responsible for the following

  • Daily operations of The Foundation’s office
  • Providing oversight of staff and committees
  • Facilitation of all Foundation funds and programs
  • Development of donors
  • Marketing of The Foundation
  • Collaborate with the executive committee and Board of Directors on regular business and special projects
  • Adhere to all I.R.S. regulations regarding the activities of a charitable not-for-profit organization and for following The Foundation’s policies, procedures and By-Laws.

The candidate for the position must possess the following key Competencies for the Position:

  • The ideal candidate should be a community-minded person who has a basic knowledge of area non-profits, who can work well with donors, staff, Life Trustees, Board Members and committee members.
  • The Executive Director should be honest, fair and unbiased
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to accomplish the important functions of the

Foundation in a timely manner.

  • Experience with making presentations to community organizations and potential donors.
  • Working knowledge of finances and demonstrated ability to balance and reconcile accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and Publisher)

Compensation will vary depending on past work experiences and qualification.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
