Responsibilities:
- Scrum Master for multiple teams within the Program in parallel, working with global teams.
- Agile/Scrum Practitioner who also serves as a Coach and Mentor within the Program
- Provide ongoing facilitation and coaching that enables the team to excel at Agile development
- Conduct key Agile ceremonies , e.g., daily scrums, backlog grooming, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives to actively manage risks and external dependencies
- Responsible for promoting Agile methodologies and related Scrum ceremonies within the Agile Programâs cross-functional team. Additional responsibilities include ongoing oversight during feature/user story grooming and sprint development, management of the Sprint release timeline, stand-ups and other ceremonies, and the removal of blockers to ensure agile releases stay on track
- Coaches the team to own and continuously improve their process and practices
- Motivates and leads teams and fosters a mindset of collaboration and continuous process improvement
- Facilitate and drive Scrum discussions to understand the scope of upcoming releases, identify impediments and manage risk
- Proposes changes to project methodologies, frameworks, and promotes best
- practices for continuous process improvement
Program/Project Management:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (internal / external) to assess work thoroughly , identify scope, develop project plans, and execute against those plans
- Assist the Product Owner to shape the product road-map and vision
- Anticipate, manage and resolve risks and issues, track progress against milestones, deadlines. The candidate shall report on these items, including dependency information, to key stakeholders
- Works effectively with multiple teams simultaneously to accomplish and deliver on business and technical release objectives within expected timeframes
- Oversees the activities of the Program and other project teams within the Program to ensure delivery of timely solutions
- Transform Agile feature stores into traditional program/project plans
- Project administration and the timely production of project documentation , e.g. project plans, reports, metrics etc.
- Understand high-level technical architecture and design elements to effective facilitate communication, conflict resolution and drive decisions on appropriate solutions
- Acts as the liaison between the Program teams and IT, when necessary
- Identifies dependencies/gaps between teams and communicates and drives resolution solutions between those teams
- Conduct and facilitate technical process improvements and ongoing operational gap assessments, across the Program, with both internal/external partners and suppliers, around continuous improvement efforts
- Design and implement technical/development KPI measures , measurement systems and visual tracking controls/dashboards to manage Program performance for sustainability and continuous improvement
- Manage multiple teams utilizing different product development methodologies within the Program
- Conducts ongoing examination of project activity within the Program for compliance with established processes and project plans/schedules, influencing decisions on resource utilization and allocation at key project lifecycle decision points
- Maintains oversight and accountability for product performance including creation/review of key project delivery metrics across the Program Platform
- Configures, administers, utilizes, and supports key project management tools
Release Management:
- Plan and manage all aspects of the product release process
- Develop, publish, communicate and enforce release management policies and standards with Product System and IT teams
- Coordinate release strategies, trainings and release notes for all product releases
- Ensure that accountable product release parties implement and follow the established delivery processes and methodologies
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time with quality
- Monitor and provide visibility into release health and trends. Escalate to owners for resolution when issues arise
- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
- Manage relationships and coordinate releases between product teams
- Lead and co-ordinate Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists
- Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Qualifications:
- Bachelorâs Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in Agile, Scrum, or related field
- 5+ years Scrum Master/Agile Technical Project Manager experience in a large organization
- 7+ years software development program, project and release management experience
- 8-10 years of experience in system integrations design/implementation/management and/or product system development/analysis
- Knowledge and experience in the Procure to Pay lifecycle
- Able to write effective User Stories
- Able to provide Agile mentoring and coaching
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with a cloud-based application development
- Vendor Management experience
- A strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; program/project management, risk management, and release management
- Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and the Procure to Pay domain
- Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills
- Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Experience with Continuous delivery / Continuous Integration, software development practices, and tools like JIRA
- Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects.
- Workday, SAP, JD Edwards, CXML, API, Flat File integration processing
- JIRA & Confluence Administration
- Proficient in MS Project, SharePoint, MS Visio
