Senior Director, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy and Programs
The Senior Director of Diversity & Inclusion Strategy & Planning is responsible for leading the planning, development, deployment, leadership and measurement of enterprise-wide Diversity & Inclusion (C&I) initiatives and programs in support of and aligned with Capital One’s diversity, inclusion & belonging strategy. This role will support the VP of D&I in creating forward-leaning D&I strategy and impactful and purposeful programming to advance a culture of inclusion and belonging across the enterprise.
This role will be responsible for partnering closely with our D&I leadership team, D&I Accountable Executives, HR and business leaders, People Analytics, and other key stakeholders to ensure D&I strategies and programs are aligned with and advance the company’s talent, culture and business objectives.
Responsibilities:

Works closely across Human Resource Consultants (HRC), Talent Acquisition and the Diversity & Inclusion teams to assess and build best in class processes and innovative programs to support the D&I strategy and help us to deliver on our D&I aspirations

Responsible for partnering with key talent functions within the organization (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Performance and Talent Management, etc) to ensure D&I is integrated into all talent strategies, processes and practices.

Will partner with Learning & Development to develop and lead the deployment of a DI&B learning strategy and curriculum for all associates.

Serve as a D&I thought partner to HR and business leaders at all levels across the enterprise, providing expert counsel, guidance and expertise on relevant workforce/workplace D&I matters in order to enable leaders to advance a culture of inclusion and belonging while enabling the company’s diversity growth objectives.

Facilitates the collection and sharing of D&I insights and best practices across Capital One’s various businesses to ensure all businesses are making progress against enterprise D&I objectives.

Serves as the primary D&I partner with People Analytics to develop and manage all aspects of the company’s D&I metrics and data reporting process. Includes collecting and analyzing data, monitor and evaluate outcomes and ROI of D&I programs, providing strategic insights on trends, and collaborating with partners to validate, assess and create action plans from the analysis.

Collaborates with D&I leaders and Communications teams to develop an enterprise-wide D&I communications and awareness strategy through relevant programming and messaging.

Analyzes and identifies opportunities for Capital One to participate in relevant D&I/industry surveys in support of measuring and validating the efficacy and success of Capital One’s D&I program relative to marketplace benchmarks and leveraging those insights to support the continued growth of D&I across the company.

Strong knowledge of Capital One’s businesses and strategies providing important linkages with other functional areas that integrate and impact the diversity strategy.

Proven success in collaborating in a complex matrixed environment to identify needs and develop diversity strategy solutions to drive business impact
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

At least 8 years of experience in a Diversity & Inclusion capacity
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Human Resources

At least 8 years of experience in a Diversity & Inclusion, with demonstrated experience in developing D&I strategy and in integrating D&I into talent and business processes.

At least 10 years of experience in Human Resources or at least 10 years in Diversity & Inclusion or at least 10 years of a combination of both

At least 10 years of experience in Communication and Influencing

At least 5 years of experience in Strategy capacity (Planning, executing and metrics of success)

Strong analytical skills & problem-solving capabilities

Proven track record in prioritizing competing priorities
