As part of this strategy, Ecolab is providing an exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Digital Solutions (CDS) Enterprise team as a Senior Scrum Master for the Food Safety Mobile application. This position will include functioning as the Scrum Master for a collection of dedicated mobile platform teams tasked with several initiatives that are being executed in parallel with the objective of delivering functionality in a modular and agile cadence to meet the business needs. This team is growing and in need of a Scrum Master to coach and facilitate at the delivery team and scaled team levels. The team has been agile for several years, but due to growth, requires Scrum Master interaction with scaling responsibilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Empowering the team to self-organize, including Product Owners, stakeholders and technical resources
  • Facilitating team meetings, including daily stand-ups, Scrum of Scrums, stakeholder meetings, sprint planning, etc.
  • Providing input to a cross-divisional, cross-platform organization on how best to utilize our structure and tools to maximize efficiency and results
  • Leading the team through sprint and “big room” planning to gain consensus as to what can be achieved
  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
  • Identifying and removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
  • Knowledge of patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: burn-down techniques, retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Working with team leadership to define processes to track timelines, budget and scope
  • Weekly status reporting enablement
  • Monitoring of issues/risks as impediments
  • Leading a team of Scrum Masters as part of the scaling approach


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years as a Scrum Master
  • 7+ years working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, XP…)
  • Experience working with Scrum scaling framework(s)
  • Experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders and Product Owners
  • Experience working with international colleagues and/or development partners
  • CSM certified
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders from executives to technical team members
  • Demonstrated skill and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and empowerment
  • Experience working with “new” and “established” Agile teams
  • Use/Administration of Azure DevOps
  • A-CSM or CSPO certification
