Overview

The Scrum Master will work with Agile Team/s and all level of management, development and product management to help the team/s adopt agile framework. Responsibilities
- Support Product Owner and work closely with the team in product backlog grooming, program increment planning, sprint level planning / tracking and building software release plan
- Identify risks, barriers blocking the team and work with internal / external resources to remove or resolve the impediments
- The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting Agile Team/s and provide them guidance in adapting SAFe, Scrum, Kanban and XP/Lean best practices.
- Organize and facilitate program increment planning ,daily stand-up, sprint planning, review, demo and retrospective & other agile related events
- Build and develop high-performing, self-organizing teams by facilitating team collaboration, manage conflicts resolutions and team challenges
- Lead teams to meet their goals and promote continuous improvement in areas including quality, predictability, flow, velocity and work processes
- Develop , track , monitor release plans for your teams & adjust plans as needed
- Track and communicate metrics including team velocity and iteration/release progress.
- Protect the team from distractions and external interferences
- Maintain a proper power of balance among the project owner, scrum team and management
- Create communication channels, coordinate activities with other remote teams
- Attend Scrum of Scrums meetings
- Partner with Product Owner/s to ensure Organizational Readiness prior to implementations.
- Update agile tracking system to provide transparency on Product & Iteration Backlogs.
- Communicates status, report progress to management and outside stakeholders
Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master and Scrum Professional. PMP certification is a plus
- Must have development (or) engineering experience in at least one of the following technology areas â satellite communications, telecommunications, Networking , VOIP, Video
- 7+ years of Scrum master experience
- Previous experience working with Engineering/ Software/Hardware/Firmware Development Teams and guiding the teams in adapting agile practices.
- Must have experience managing projects with distributed team members including a mix of onsite and offshore resources.
- Must be familiar with a variety of SDLC concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of Scrum concepts, rules and practices
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Kanban, XP, Lean, SAFe etc.
- Proven ability to coach team to ensure Agile / Scrum principles, practices are adhered to by the team
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Proven results of having created useful, reliable and practical plans through sprints executions
- Familiar with software development processes, procedures and product development life cycle.
- Experience using Agile development tracking tools such as Jira, Rally, Version One etc
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a demanding, dynamic environment
EDUCATION:
- M.S / B.S. Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or a related field
