As an Operations Planning Manager, you will plan and control all scheduling activities supporting assigned product categories for this location. Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support organizationally defined customer service objectives. Maintain standardized master planning practices utilizing SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization), EPQ (Economic Production Quantity), and other Nestle-Purina required tools and methodologies as applicable. Be responsible for the factory organization in applying the appropriate tools and eliminating the use of off-line spreadsheets and processes for scheduling. Communicates with the Ingredient Receiving Scheduler to ensure that ingredients are available to support the schedule and insure the uninterrupted operation of the Plant.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain standard processes for supporting and adhering to the Master Production Scheduling including entering in ERP System.
  • Responsible for monitoring and sequencing the performance of promotional notifications including timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Own the coordination and tracking of directives from Operations Planning including promotional activities, coupons, etc.
  • Conduct supply network planning of centrally manufactured product utilizing the SAP module in accordance with company objectives and metrics.
  • Participate in monthly Maintenance planning meetings to schedule downtime to perform plant planned maintenance, Capital Projects, and fog/heat treatments while still maintaining customer service levels.

Basic Qualifications


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree


Experience:

3+ years in supply chain planning, logistics planning, or capacity planning in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or military environment.
