Surespan USA Inc. is currently accepting applicants for the position of On Site Project Manager / Owner’s Representative for a Hydro Power Facility Project located an hour north of Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Duties Required are:
- Ensuring that the construction work is performed safely according to the specifications and drawings, employing good and accepted practices in the applicable industry. Particular regard shall be given to the price and schedule of the construction work, deliverables as identified in the construction contracts, including test results and reports.
- Confirm that milestone events as identified in the construction contracts have been timely achieved.
- Communicating to the Client any Contractor request for change orders or contract modification and thereafter communicating Client’s decision thereon to the Construction Contractors.
- Maintain project schedule.
- Attending to the Construction Work at the Site and other locations to be determined to observe and represent Client’s interests during the Construction Work.
- Attending and documenting the Daily Safety and Planning meetings, and providing such documentation to the Client. Making sure that the Contractor is following the OSHA and the Client’s own safety policies.
- Monitor the implementation of Site HSEQ Program for owner, contractor and Subcontractor personnel.
- Conduct daily HSE inspections. Maintain logs which include area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections.
- Ensure contractor and all subcontractors’ compliance with Safety, environmental and permit requirements.
- Acting as liaison between the Construction Contractor, its subcontractors and the Client.
- Providing engineering expertise and recommendations based upon both Contractor’s experience and the specific site conditions.
- Coordinating the engagement of any third-party resources authorised by the Client, whether engaged at the recommendation of Contractor or otherwise.
- Providing the Client accurate contractor information regarding contractor site staffing, sub-contractors services, and materials delivered, such that they shall be in a position to approve or reject invoices from the Contractor on a time and materials basis.
- Providing the Client with photo documentation of Construction Work; documenting, assembling and filing photographs as part of the final report.
- Representing the Client’s interests in a positive manner, with due regard for the Client’s business, commercial interests, business relationships and existing contractual rights and responsibilities under the Construction Contracts.
- Produce specific daily, Weekly, Monthly and Project Close Out Reports.
Experience Required:
- 3 years minimum in a similar position
- OSHA Certified as a minimum, OSHA 30 Certified is preferred.
- Excellent IT skills. Proficiency in MS Office a minimum. Experience with Project Management software such as Aconex would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

- Work week expected is to be 50 hours
