Open Dealer Exchange (ODE), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is searching for a highly motivated IT Operations Manager to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In this role, you will be accountable for the delivery of service desk solutions in support of three business units within ODE. You will oversee implementation of new hardware and software technology as designed by business units by estimating, planning, designing, developing and delivering technology solutions within a specific timeline and budget. As a manager, you will be responsible for establishing goals and directing the activities of a team in coordination of IT service delivery. The ideal candidate will be able to use their experience to establish and maintain the vision for Operations within the department roadmap in order to accommodate the rapid organizational growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages, schedules, plans, and coordinates team assignments, budgets, projects, and services

Ensures that corporate, departmental, and team standards and processes are utilized while implementing improvements to enhance team performance

Establishes and manages metrics and provides clear direction while distributing workloads in an organized manner for productivity of teams

Concentrates on desired outcomes and initiates action while holding self and others accountable for performance and results

Recognizes problems, identifies root causes of issues, and responds timely and appropriately

Develops talent, applies clear and consistent performance standards, and handles performance problems decisively and objectively

Researches and gathers information to initiate and make informed decisions

Identifies key stakeholders and communicates decisions

Seeks input from others, listens effectively, and uses consensus, when applicable, to build relationships and gain trust, respect, and support


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of IT experience
  • Previous experience managing technical teams of two or more
  • In depth knowledge of IT operations methodologies, life cycles, strong communication, and analytical skills
  • Understanding of Service Management and ITIL methodology
