Village of Sleepy Hollow IL is seeking candidates with a B.S. in accounting and excellent computer skills (MS Office/general ledger). Must have at least 4 years general accounting experience including month end close, daily cash application, A/P, payroll, fixed assets, and year end audit participation (worksheets/reconciliations/narratives). Position is also responsible for HR duties including on-boarding new employees regarding I9/ health/dental/vision/life/LTD. Responsible for year end property & casualty insurance renewal as well as medical/dental and vision employee coverage renewal. Municipal/fund accounting experience is preferred but will train the right candidate in annual tax levy/appropriation ordinance/FOIA response/misc. revenue (water & sewer billing/vehicle/pet/building permits/traffic tickets) Village annual report and budget. Finally, supervisory experience is required as two part time bookkeepers assist the Finance Director. Position offers excellent medical/dental/vision coverage as well as 457 retirement plan. Background check/drug screen required before hire. Beautiful 3,200 resident village is located between Gilberts/Elgin & West Dundee IL off Randall Road and includes public works & police departments.
