Skanska is searching for an EHS Director. The EHS Director will be leading a team of professionals in ensuring that we maintain a safe work environment for our team. The EHS Director will provide leadership to the whole team with the ultimate goal of making sure everyone goes home healthy at the end of every day. The successful EHS Director will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate, show empathy, display strong leadership skills, and be committed to a goal of 0 injuries.
EHS Director Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs a team of EHS professionals in administering the EHS program at the company or project level
  • Collaborates with the Operations leadership team in innovating to raise the bar
  • Creates, evaluates, educates, and administers the EHS program for all levels of employees;
  • Supervises a team in conducting surveys, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities
  • Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of EHS standards
EHS Director Must Haves:
  • Experience leading a team of EHS professionals
  • The ability to speak in front of a large group and explain the vision and gain buy-in
  • Holder of an OSHA 30 hour certificate;
  • Ten (10) years of experience in EHS within the construction industry
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.
EHS Director Compensation Info:
  • Salary range of $130,000 – $140,000
  • Bonus eligible
  • 401k & ESOP – both with matching
