The Role
The Director, Project Management will be responsible for leading the company’s Project Management activities, providing expert leadership, guidance and training in project management techniques with an enfaces on change management practices across the organization. Own management of department including processes, resources and budget.
The Director, Project Management will report to the VP, Enterprise Planning and manager a team of 3+ project managers.
Responsibilities
Project Management Leadership
· Own company project portfolio including enterprise and working group projects – directly responsible for one or more projects
· Strengthen, mature and evangelize the project management discipline
· Maintain best practices and consistent project management processes and tools to enable efficiency and scalability
· Lead and be the subject matter expert on project management policies and procedures
· Mature and maintain project management policy and procedure documentation
· Report insights, portfolio health and projects that have deviated from agreed to schedules to senior leadership, and key stakeholders including Working Group Chairs.
· Report and manage risk and mitigation strategies to ensure project success across the portfolio
· Own and drive project KPIs and leverage for ongoing organization improvements
· Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and manage enterprise impacts
· Own training for project and Change Management processes
Organizational Change Management
· Utilize best practices for driving organizational results to serve as a mentor to others on best practices for change management activities
· Track and measure projects through the project cycle to show the current health of organizational change management
· Use data-driven solutions to address the human factors affecting an organization’s ability to reach its strategic objectives
· Advise senior leadership on change management and organizational alignment
Team Management & Leadership
· Lead a team of 3+ project managers
