Our Need: A full-time position available for a Director of Operations at our office located in Appleton, Wisconsin.
The Director of Operations duties involve collaborative oversight of all operations of student transportation terminals in the southeast region. In this role we are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, team player and is looking to be a key part of a growing team. The Director of Operations will work with a team to manage a fleet in excess of 250 vehicles.
Our Ideal Candidate: The best fit for this position will have the following qualifications:
· Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in transportation, and/or logistics, with at least five (5) years of remote management experience over multiple locations
· Demonstrated experience leading, building and developing effective teams
· Provide daily operational and decision making support for local terminal managers
· Skill of being a “change agent” and building a desirable company culture
· Effectively collaborating with other company functions on strategic initiatives (i.e., school district stakeholders, vendor relationships, finance, HR, legal, IT).
· Solid computer skills; Microsoft office suite, along with transportation software packages such as JJ Keller, RTA, School Bus Manager, Zonar, etc.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks by level of importance
· Ability to travel 5+ days per month
