The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern this facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB, and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State
• Minimal 2 years previous long term care experience
• Must be able to relate positive to residents, families, and government regulators, and to work cooperatively with other associates at all levels.
• Must have experience in performance management and effective leadership.
