Director of IT, North America

Summary of Position:

Lead and operate the IT discipline for properties and managed offices within Millennium Hotels & Resort, North America region. Directs and recommends the overall information systems and technology strategic plan aligned with the group vision focusing on building effective, efficient and relevant solutions that provide the group with a business advantage over its competitors. Work closely with the various corporate divisions, other regional heads, and hotel teams to build strategic partnership with the appropriate vendors while leveraging conglomerate-wide potentials.

Provide resource and consulting support within relevant business application projects and strategizes adaptation of relevant and applicable technology infrastructure projects within the region.

Responsible for:

• Cultivate technology leadership capability and develop talent via effective succession planning, mentoring, and performance management
• Perform business council member role representing IT
• Accountable for new opening projects oversight, count down and live operation.
• Technology partner management and product development for IT related areas
• Accountable for day to day hotels and North America corporate office IT operations
• Managing and driving projects or initiatives for the group as assigned by reporting officer
• Accounting for keeping senior management informed of IT technology environment, issues, initiatives and opportunities
• Design and deliver executive level presentations, communications and status updates to senior management. Perform own decision making where practical and escalate/engage/inform senior management where appropriate
• Develop and drive network security standard, pass technology related Internal and PCI audits. Remediate appropriate findings from internal, external or owner audits.
• Demonstrate leadership through proactive presentations and communications to business partners. Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Responsible for the research of technology products within the region. Keep informed about technology partner activities and notify to senior management.
• Develop and implement regional IT Policy and Procedure (P&P), liaise with other regional IT teams to build up a global standard*

Requirements:

• Possess a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or the equivalent with 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Good leadership skills, strategic planner, analytical and forward thinking
• Possess good interpersonal skills
• Dynamic, outgoing
• Excellent command of written word
• Hands-on experience of hospitality industry related systems
• Attention to detail
