The Construction Category Manager will contribute to the growth and profitability of Dunkin’ Brands and its Franchisees by optimizing sourcing strategies, building supplier relationships and negotiating the best prices for the organization. This position will provide strong support in the areas of cost management, contract development, supplier management and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage construction-related supply base and build long-term strategic relationships with key supply partners, providing a competitive advantage to Dunkin’ Brands and its Franchisees
- Participate in business planning sessions with NDCP, Dunkin’ Brands and Franchisees, in order to fully understand business requirements and sourcing needs
- Lead sourcing events on various construction-related categories including HVAC, Roofing, Water Heaters, Tile/Flooring, Furniture, Signage, etc.
- Prepare and analyze RFI, RFQ, and RFP as needed. Analyze responses and work with appropriate internal counterparts for best case award decision
- Negotiate lowest possible cost based on product specifications, quality, service levels, and industry conditions
- Develop National/Regional programs that ensure sourcing cost savings are realized by Dunkin Franchisees
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain or related degree
- Minimum 3 years of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Construction or Project Management
- Knowledge and experience with strategic sourcing methods
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written required
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
- Able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities. Comfortable adjusting priorities and approach to fit new situations
- Experience in Supply Chain cooperative, food service industry or franchisee system is preferred
