Visual Creatures, LA in partnership with Agbo Films is currently looking for a Technical Director / Developer to help shape the evolution of our technologies and workflows.
Responsibilities:
– Server and User Management
– Troubleshoot production and technical issues.
– Develop and support production tools and workflows
– Work with other teams to standardize tools, libraries, workflows and conventions.
– Create and maintain a standardized system for the studio.
Qualifications:
– Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
– Experience in VFX or Post Production across multiple disciplines.
– Strong problem solving skills.
– Experience working directly with production teams.
– Strong communication skills.
– Active Directory and Azure experience.
– Experience with Mac and Windows environment.
Bonus Qualifications:
– Experience with VFX applications (Maya, Redshift, C4D, Photoshop, Blender, Nuke, Houdini, etcâŚ)
– Shotgun Experience
– Familiarity with render farms
– Experience leading development teams.
– Scripting and programming skills including Python, C++, shell scripting or rigging and troubleshooting in 3D software like Maya or Blender.
