- Writes, implements, & monitors work instructions and procedures
- Maintains “Customer First” mentality
- Effectively manages repackaging of product as needed for shipments
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in the department at all times
- Responsible for inventory control: validation, cycle counting, and FIFO.
- Prioritizes workload/scheduling for staff.
- Coordinates shipping activities with other departments: Sales, planning, Customer Service, Production, and Quality
- Monitors and reacts to department financial targets
- Supervises Shipping Clerks and union hourly personnel (3 shifts).
- Monitors time cards and related payroll duties.
- Performs random audits of staged shipments.
- Coordinates maintenance of equipment and facility.
- Hires hourly/union employees and reviews thereafter.
- Trains employees in Sika procedures and work instructions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of electronic shipping systems: SAP preferable. Extreme proficiency with various PC programs. Detail oriented professional.
- Years Experience: 3 years in Shipping with 3 years supervisory experience.
- Highly organized. Excellent oral and written communication skills and PC/Mainframe proficiency.
